Renvolt Energy Solutions PVT. LTD. is a leading Electrical Consulting and Contracting Company mainly concentrating in Solar Power Projects , Electrical System Installations and also in Electric Vehicles Area. History of Renvolt starts in 2016 at MBITS, as a group of young students and their professor discussed an electric vehicle project as a part of his PhD work. In 2018 they converted a Maruthi 800 to Retrofitted Solar Car which was selected in the final 7 of All India Level Competition KPIT SPARKLE 2019 with the theme “Energy and Mobility for Future” and this project well appreciated by experts and media.
Inspired from this (https://youtu.be/sAL5besUQKw) In 2019 they developed a solar powered Vehicle to Grid (V2G) Multi utility vehicle and a Retrofitted Electric Esteem Powered by 10 kW BLDC Motor. ISRO, Director Dr. S Somanath visited MBITS and appreciated all Electric Vehicle Projects In 2020 both vehicles are selected in Final of KPIT SPARKLE 2020 with theme “Next Level Energy and Transportation Solutions”. They modified the Retrofitted Esteem to Driverless Electric car(video). They were the only teams selected from Kerala for the competitions in 2019 and 2020. Towards their contributions for Green Energy they formed “Renvolt Energy Solutions”. In December 2020 and incorporated as “Renvolt Energy Solutions PVT. LTD.” in January 2021. Within this short time RENVOLT became the leading ON-GRID Solar Power Project installation team. The young enthusiastic Engineers shows their unique talents in field of Designing, Energy Auditing, Product Sales and their Service was well appreciated by clients. RENVOLT is also focusing on wide Solar Energy Market, Charging Stations and Huge Electric Vehicle Market which will be the ‘THE NEXT FUTURE”.

Who We Are
Renvolt Energy Solutions Private Limited, established in 2020, is a fast-growing renewable energy and electric mobility company incubated by a team of talented engineering graduates from MBITS Engineering College, with faculty equity support. Initially rooted in electric vehicle innovations such as solar car, retrofitted electric vehicle, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) concept, Renvolt has evolved into a leading Solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company in Kerala, gaining recognition as an approved vendor for Central Government MNRE solar projects.
Beyond solar EPC, Renvolt delivers advanced e-mobility solutions, including home EV charger installations for prominent automobile brands such as Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, BYD, MG, and Hyundai. The company also plays a key role in deploying DC fast-charging infrastructure and solar-powered EV charging stations, supporting the rapid adoption of electric mobility.
Renvolt further strengthens its clean-energy portfolio through Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions, offering energy storage, load management, peak shaving, backup power, and grid-support services for industrial and commercial clients. These solutions enhance energy reliability, optimize power consumption, and enable seamless integration of renewable energy sources.
Renvolt’s innovation-driven approach has earned prestigious accolades, including a Government of India patent for developing an energy-efficient retrofitting kit to convert internal combustion engine vehicles into solar-powered EVs, recognition from the ISRO Chairman for EV-related projects, and an award from the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission as the most successful start-up in the solar and EV charging station sector.

Dr. Arun Eldho Alias is the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MBITS. His innovative work in the field of electric vehicles has earned him three prestigious patents—one from the Government of India for a retrofitted solar car, and others from the UK and Australia. His primary research focuses on the design and development of axial flux permanent magnet motors for electric vehicle applications.
Beyond academia and research, Dr. Arun is the Founder and CEO of Renvolt Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a leading company in Kerala specializing in solar power systems, EV charging stations, and battery energy storage installations. Under his leadership, Renvolt Energy Solutions was recognized in 2023 by T. K. Jose, IAS, Kerala State Regulatory Commission, as the most successful startup with faculty equity.
He is also the Managing Partner of Briion Energy LLP, a leading company engaged in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and the supply of lithium battery solutions.
